COVID-19 Information

COVID guidelines for youth sports has been changing frequently and we will update this page when we receive changes.

  1. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS DUE TO COVID SHUTDOWN
  2. CSC will be following the CJSA Return to Play Policy, Chatham Health District and the Town of Colchester for Parks and Recreation usage.

Colchester Soccer Club COVID Protocol (Revised 9/29/21)

 CSC follows the online COVID public health guidelines listed below and has ongoing consultation with the Chatham Health District regarding COVID positive and contact related scenarios. The following process is applicable to quarantine and return to play scenarios only. Please contact your public school and or physician regarding all health recommendations. Reporting the following information is required when reporting COVID positive and/or close contact situations;

Person 1: (if multiple individuals please provide the necessary info for each)
• Date of positive test:
• Vaccination status:
• Date of onset of symptoms:
• Last date of exposure at CSC game / practice:
• Quarantine date (if has started at the time of reporting): 
• Anticipated date of test/retest if acutely symptomatic:
• **If last exposure was within 48 hours of positive test or onset of symptoms please determine close contacts (anyone within 6ft for 15 mins or more cumulatively in a 24 hour period):
• **In scenarios in which the school and/or pediatrician have been previously consulted please provide school / pediatrician consultation recommendations re: quarantine and return to school / play.

Note: 
- Vaccination status will come into play in determining which close contacts need to quarantine and which do not.
- Please ask adults to consult with their physicians regarding isolation recommendations e.g. in home contact during quarantine

Notification & Documentation
1. If a player or coach tests positive or has close contact with someone who does all incidents are to be reported to Douglas Howard, CSC Risk Manager, league president Tim Daniels, and league VP Anton Smith. 
2. CSC will then notify and consult with the Chatham Health District and Colchester Public Schools as appropriate.
3. Coaches and families will be notified of the CHD recommendations via email following consultation. Recommendations are not up for interpretation, however as the governing public health body of our district, if desired parents can contact the CHD individually. 
4. Players and coaches are to email PCR COVID testing results to Douglas Howard, Tim Daniels and Anton Smith prior to returning to play and must coincide with the recommendations set fourth by the CHD at the time of consultation. 

Note:
Cross agency COVID notifications are HIPPA exempt and are strictly for the purposes of promoting the safety and well-being of club wide players, and parents.
